Adding a tiled photo gallery

Ever wondered how to simply and quickly create a tiled photo gallery as on MY AMBER SITE?

We have a plugin for that with which you can quickly add photos, give captions and set a few other parameters, and then you can just add photos to your gallery, the plugin (Tiled Galleries Carousel Without Jetpack by Raja CRN) then takes care of the positioning, resizes photos so they will all fit in the rectangle. Just add photos, and that’s it!

To start, go to the page in which you want to insert your gallery, place cursor on the page, and press ‘Add Media’

You will now be taken to your library where you can pick photos, or you can upload new photos to your library.

The next screen you can select the photos you want to include in your tiled photo gallery. Either select photos or upload new ones.
Check the title and Alt text for your SEO. The caption is what will appear under the photos on mouse over. You can see the selected items on the bottom. You can always add or remove photos later, so don’t worry. Click create new gallery when done.

On the last page you can set your display options, the example gallery on my page is set as below. You can set random order, so the photos will be differently ordered on every page visit.
You will only see he result of your tiled photo gallery once you insert it into the page, and preview the page, so go ahead and Insert!

Once you have it inserted and want to edit the gallery display options or add or remove photos go back to the page in edit mode, when you hover over the photos you will see a pencil icon appear, click on this to go back to the edit screen.

And that’s it, in 4 steps you have created a tiled photo gallery!

As a last note: not all WordPress themes will display the galleries in the same way, some themes will not support the tiling script.
